However, as a bride who does have two maids of honor- I haven't yet affixed "co" to it, and now I think I'll try hard not to!- I did mine so I could have one sister and one friend, but also one local, one who lives in North Carolina and thus may not be able to do much else other than a toast and sign the marriage license.
